Overview

Made using the family owned and managed `Hunt Road`vineyard, planted by the Conte`s in 1979. In contrast to its name, Hunt Road remains a tranquil site.
Lined by vines and eucalyptus trees, and more often frequented by wildlife than by traffic.

Crafted by winemaker Danial Conte, using small batch minimal intervention techniques.

This full bodied wine is fruit forward. with velvety smooth tannins and exceptional length.

The Vintage

2017

Vinification

Harvested before sunrise, semi crushed and open fermented for 10 days. The wine has matured in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 20 months to allow characters to integrate and soften.

    Vineyard planted in '79. Heightened blackcurrant and truffle with tips of sweet raspberry and raisin. It's full-bodied and sweet with fruit; it's not particularly varietal but it delivers a mouthful of berried flavour.
